Selfish to the Core

Let's Build a Ballroom to Keep Donald safe, never mind gun laws, or the school children.

The attempted assasination of the president and his cabinet was a terrible ending to what might have been a night of unity where party affiliations were being put aside in so noticable a way that even President Trump commented on it. That part was nice and to his credit. However….

….all too soon, President Trump used the event to do a commercial for his giant ballroom and its ultra safe windows, etc. etc. This is the man who is supposed to care about the people he has been elected to SERVE. Sadly, he is selfish to the core. This can’t be a moment to consider the failure of gun laws and communication between government departments to prevent tragic shooting. Example: the man who killed seven of his children, his wife and another woman and child. He had previously been arrested for shooting into a car across a school playground. However, someone saw fit to drop the gun charges. In a well-functioning system, this man would have been behind bars for a time and good communication would have made it impossible for him to purchase a gun in the future.

Is it too much to hope that this president will put any effort into better gun control, or perhaps donate the cost of the ballroom to schools so they could protect children with the kind of windows Trump boasted about for his own saftey.

Just as Trump has given tax breaks for the wealthy, and allows his untrained son-in-law to pretend to do diplomacy with Iran while making millions of dollars for himself in that failed process. Is it conceivable that we just might have a narcissistic crook defacing the people’s house for his own glory and who couldn’t care less about the American people?
